In the summer of 2015 I was invited to take part in a collaborative project organised by two good friends. Entitled ‘Fractals’, the project brings together local photographers, poets and artists to create a body of work inspired by each others creativity. Working in this way is a unique experience for me but it’s a very interesting process. I’ve never had work created from my photographs (it’s been wonderful) and, in the same way, I’ve never taken photographs inspired by the ideas of other artists.
It’s been challenging at times but the project has forced me to think laterally and create images that are outside of my normal style and comfort zone. And not only that, I’m really pleased with them! Our first exhibition at shows in Tunbridge Wells at the end of June 17.
A full gallery of my Fractals work can be found by clicking here but I would also like to share a short video I created.
This video is in response to a poem by David Hensley called ‘The Veil Seller’.
