I’ve had a love of captured imagery since my teens and, after being inspired and encouraged by a wonderful school teacher, I went on to do a photography degree. Many happy hours were spent processing my own films and watching as my images magically appeared from the baths of developer.
Fast forward a good many years and I now run a successful graphic design and advertising company in Tunbridge Wells, Kent with my husband. Rolls of film have been replaced with memory cards and hard drives packed full of images, but I haven’t lost my love of photography. My personal work has seen me develop a passion for the outdoors – beginning with photographing nature on a macro scale, then moving on to landscapes, and more recently, abstract patterns. My travels have taken me to magical Slovenia in winter and the wonderfully diverse island of La Palma in Spring – not to mention parts of England, Wales and Scotland in all weathers!
My artistic direction as a photographer has taken the ‘organic path’ and is constantly developing. For me it is about enjoying and exploring the outdoors and, most of all, having fun! Taking part in collaborative projects is the latest step in that development, one that is challenging, inspiring and rewarding in equal measure.
What’s next? Who knows! I hope to continue on growing and developing my style over the next few years and hopefully you’ll join me along the way.
